Used Honda Odyssey

The Honda Odyssey has been a long running minivan series. The Odyssey is now in it's 4th generation in North America. This vehicle has served many families and has been a leader in minivan safety. The Honda's minivan was first introduced in 1995 and was based on the Acccord. In 1996 New York City's Taxi and Limousine Commission approved the Odyssey to be used as part of the cities taxi fleet.

The first generation of the Odyssey ran from 1995 to 1998. In 1999 Honda introduced the 2nd generation which ran to 2004. This generation was manufactured in Canada. Honda began offering two sliding doors as standard for the 2nd generation vehicles. Be aware the 1999 and 2001 models had some serious issues with the transmissions and Honda responded by lengthening the warrenty to 100,000 miles but a lawsuit forced them to push it up to 109,000 or 93 months for some 99-01 models.

The 3rd generation ran from 2005 to 2010. The main improvements were adding some width and weight to the car. Among other upgrades and enhancements the engine was powered up to 255 horse power. The 2008 year model got a facelift and some other upgrades like standard backup cameras, and bluethooth support for some models.

The year model 2011 began the 4th generation of the Honda Odyssey. The vehicle has been upgraded to look more modern and sleek. Upgrades have been make to the audio systems, GPS, DVD, HID xenon headlamps, ventilated front disc brakes among other changes.
